Theresa Rubico Jay is an engineer, educator, lecturer, and Director of Technology at Thayer Academy. She worked designing computer processing chips until her classroom experience teaching electronics began in 1994. By 1997 she was the Director of Technology in Arlington securing a half a million dollars in technology grant funding. Theresa enjoys designing clever ways to integrate technology into the curriculum. She has devoted her tech director career to creating playful learning environments showcasing emerging technologies. Currently she implemented an iPad 1 to 1 that has grown into a 11” MacBook Air program, mentors Technology Fellows, directs an innovation tech center, and has designed a cloud mobile strategy for Thayer Academy. While tech director at Xaverian, she designed and built a digital language lab and started an Internet radio station. Theresa has made many presentations at various conferences such as; iPad Summit, CoSN, and Leadership & Learning. Theresa holds a B.S. E.E. from Boston University and a M. Ed from UMass Boston. She is the Vice-President of METAA and chairs the CTO Clinic committee. She is also a member of CoSN, METAA, MassCUE and ISTE. Follow her @tjay_ta
